Job Responsibilities:
* Assists in determining the minimum and maximum stocks and controls the par-stocks of all materials and equipments
* Assists the Steward Manager in developing training plans, develops training material in accordance with IHG guidelines and implements training plans for the Stewarding employees
* Assists the Chief Steward in setting Stewarding goals and developing strategies, procedures and policies
* Cleaning and maintaining food and beverage premises as per requirement
* Oversees the preparation of kitchen equipments for use
* Establishes and maintains effective employee and inter-departmental working relationships
* In absence of Manager conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
* Liaise with employees of the Engineering Division to schedule preventive maintenance and repairs
* Maintains high levels of personal hygiene for self and enforces hygiene standards for team
* Supervises the handling of kitchen linen
* Supervises all functions of the Stewarding operation to achieve the optimum departmental costs & quality level of sanitation
* Supervises the cleaning and storage of kitchen equipments
* Supervises and assist in the cleaning of kitchens
* Supervises the counting of inventories in coordination with employees of the accounting division
* Supervises the removal of waste
* Supervises the stewarding operations during shift
Ideally, you'll have some or all of the following things we're looking for:
* Secondary education with at least 2 years of supervisory experience in Stewarding
* Able to communicate with English & Mandarin
* Computer literate (Internet, email , excel , word, powerpoint) will be an added advantage
* Service oriented with good interpersonal skills
